I’m excited to share my Christmas Dining Room with you today! You may have seen a few sneak peeks in my Christmas Home Tour that I posted last week, but today you get it all. I’ve used classic reds and fresh elements to make my dining room feel extra homey during the holidays.

Welcome to the “All Through the House” Christmas Tour! This very special Christmas Blog Hop is hosted by Town and Country Living and The Everyday Home. We are very excited to share all of the great blogs and beautiful Christmas Rooms throughout this week, so please come back often as each day will feature a different room. As you may have guessed, today is dining rooms and there are six lovely tablescapes to check out today!

Enjoy the tour, and be sure to visit the other gorgeous homes you’ll see in the links at the end of this post. I’ll try to name sources as we go, but feel free to ask questions in the comments.

Each year I try to keep a few things “on trend” but really I always seem to come back to the classics. Fresh cedar, pomegranates, cranberries and oranges from our backyard tree adorn out holiday table, with birch-wrapped candles (World Market) and mercury glass ornaments (Marshalls) nestled in as well. Below them are simple wood planks, stained in weathered gray, that I had extra from my son’s Star Wars inspired headboard a few years ago.

The chalk-painted hutch is one of my favorite things to decorate, although I struggled with making it different from last year. Those are the same poinsettias that go up each year – they add height and color to the top of the hutch and I just love them. After placing the fresh cedar garland I had the idea to lay the poinsettias on their side and I love how it really fills the space with color. This is also the place where I can put all of my beloved Christmas tchotchkes that would really seem more like clutter anywhere else.

World Market Joy Sign

I picked up the cedar garland at Home Depot on Black Friday – it was a real score for only $7! It’s easy to cut up and add to various places, like I’ve done on my hutch and down the center of the table. You can also make wreaths with it, or wrap it around candles.

My tabletop is a mix of new things and treasures I’ve collected that I love to pull out every year. The Rattan chargers (World Market) are the perfect rustic base for my beloved beveled white dishes (old – from JCPenney). The song lyric napkins and Santa Plates (both Pottery Barn) as a touch of classic Christmas whimsy.

Where are your silver chairs from??

    1. Kristin says:

I got them at World Market a few years ago. I don’t think they still have them. I’ve seen similar ones at Target though, recently.
