This Cinnamon Caramel Apple Dip is ultra creamy and rich and feels totally indulgent. Made with less sugar than traditional dips and Greek yogurt for creaminess, it’s (practically) guilt free!
Getting my kids to eat healthier foods seems to get more and more difficult as they get older. So anything I can do to make said “healthier foods” more enticing is a plus in my book. They love dips of any kind, so making a dip for their fruit seemed like a no-brainer.
However upon searching for fruit dip recipes I came up with a bunch of high fat, high sugar recipes so I set out to create a sweet dip that was a little better for them.
This Cinnamon Caramel Apple Dip is a base of half cream cheese (the light or regular variety – whatever floats your boat) and half plain, nonfat Greek Yogurt. In case you haven’t noticed, I’m a tiny bit obsessed with Greek Yogurt. I love that it can make recipes just a little better for you and it’s such an easy swap. There’s also brown sugar, and if you want to amp up the sweetness a little more you can add some honey. A splash of real vanilla rounds out the flavors.
This sweet, creamy fruit dip is great as an after school snack or dessert. We love it with apples, strawberries and even grapes. Still has that great caramel flavor, but a lot less sugar!
