This Cinnamon Apple Monkey Bread is the perfect combination of fall flavors packed in a decadent breakfast treat!
Hey guys! Sam back from The Culinary Compass. With fall just around the corner, I wanted to make something perfect for those brisk mornings and cold nights! This Cinnamon Apple Monkey Bread is sure to be your new favorite decadent breakfast or dessert!
I don’t know about you, but I’m a huge fan of sweet breakfast on weekends. They go perfectly with a fresh cup of coffee and getting to relax with loved ones! This Cinnamon Apple Monkey Bread is now my family’s favorite breakfast to do that with. It’s sweet and savory with a tart bite from the apple. Everything I love about the fall!
I’ve made monkey bread before with biscuits, but never with cinnamon rolls. Turns out, it’s just as good! I love that the refrigerated cinnamon rolls come with icing that you can use to top it as well!
I only added a little bit of extra cinnamon since it’s already incorporated into the rolls. You can even add a little bit of nutmeg for even more fall flavors!
My favorite part of it is probably the caramelized outside of the monkey bread. The sugar and butter melts together to make the perfect topping. There was extra liquid in the pan so it was a little messy to put onto a platter. I definitely recommend putting the plate over the bundt pan then flipping both over together to avoid spilling too much. I just drizzled the rest over it to make it extra sticky and delicious!
To change up your flavors, you could always add caramel topping and fresh apple pieces to make it a candied apple monkey bread!
The best part of this breakfast is how quickly you can throw it together. If you want to prepare it the night before, I recommend not adding the melted butter until just before you stick it in the oven. This will avoid making the cinnamon rolls too soggy!
