Whisk all ingredients together in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring often.
Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
Serve as desired - we love it with pulled pork and pulled chicken.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
Notes
Recipe makes about 1 1/2 cups of sauce. A typical serving is 2 tablespoons.
