Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Chocolate Covered Pretzels are fun and easy to make! Customize for any occasion with fun toppings like sprinkles, nuts, coconut and candies.

Ingredients

  • 24 pretzel rods
  • 2 cups dark melting chocolate
  • 2 cups milk melting chocolate
  • 2 cups white melting chocolate

Instructions

  • Prepare a baking sheet or food preparation surface with parchment paper.
  • Melt the chocolates according to package directions, being careful not to overheat.
  • Carefully dip each pretzel in desired chocolate and allow the access to drip off.
  • Place the chocolate covered pretzels on the parchment paper and allow to set. Be sure to add sprinkles or other garnishes at this time.

Notes

  • Topping Ideas: sprinkles, marshmallows, graham cracker crumbs, chocolate chips, M&M’s, coconut.
  • Setting time depends on the chocolate and can be anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour.
  • To get the chocolate to set quickly, you can place the pretzels in the fridge. However, they will need to be kept in the fridge until served as placing them in the fridge increases risk of the chocolate sweating.
  • Melting chocolate is simply chocolate that does not need to be tempered. Melting chocolate sometimes comes in cubes or wafers.
